Donald Anderson has a strong reputation as one of the most respected and experienced public figures in Scotland. He has been heavily involved in Economic Development, and was Leader of Scotland's Capital City from 1999-October 2006.

His time in public life has given him more than a decade and a half of experience at the sharp end of Strategic Leadership, Public Policy, Communications, Tourism, Development and Public Administration.

He has chaired the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Edinburgh and Lothian's Tourist Board. He has also chaired the EDI property group. Donald has served as a Non-Executive Director on literally dozens of companies and charitable Trusts, gaining in depth experience of the challenges facing many organisations.

Donald served two full terms as a Board member of VisitScotland during a period of enormous change and improvement.

Widely acknowledged  as a succssful leader of Scotland's Capital, from 1999-2006, he has gained unparalleled experience of working with government at all levels, with the private sector and public agencies. Donald has worked at the centre of nearly every major development in Edinburgh in the last two decades. Donald is well placed to provide strategic advice to a wide range of public and private sector organisations.
